The Mang Blorg

Jenny Hui created Mango, a mango skinned Mang who rocks a cool neon yellow hawaiian shirt. He’s got cute arms and looks like he’s a young teen. Great use of color Jenny!

Heya friends, this is the first release of Mang’s source code! We’re starting off with the most important part- Mang’s face. It has taken me a long time, but i’ve finally streamlined and finalized Mang’s look. His face is pretty simple to draw and his defining characteristic are his two hair points that stick out to the sides (kinda like his hero Astroboy).

I’m curious as to how people will alter his code and make their own version of Mang. Enjoy!

Mike Rameck drew this for Juanh as a birthday present. Thanks Mike! It’s a great iteration of Mang. The character has so much personality- kind & true, gentle, friendly, interesting and good style with the dickies and black addidas. Great creativity with adding cheeks, chin and a small nose to Mang’s face. His hair is cool too : )

Kidmang unexpectedly discovers Little Tweak’s incredible strength. This is the most thrashed he has ever been. Completely helpless and at the mercy of Little Tweak who crushes mang’s foot and slams him super hard against a brick wall! Notice the rage lines surrounding Little Tweak- this is indicative of his intense nature.

During his first week of living on the streets, Kidmang is attacked, in his sleep, by the Rat King. Kidmang retaliates and puts the Rat King in his place with a paralyzing kick to the face. Consequently, Kidmang is confronted the next day by Little Tweak, a large mouse with a beret and bow-tie. For a cute little guy, Little Tweak has a viciously loud voice and an equally threatening demeanor.

Despite the brutal onslaught by the Smiley Face Ninjas, Mang is still ticking and is about to get help in an unexpected way. pg 10 of 10

This is the very first completed Mang comic. I finished it over the course of ~2 months in 7th grade. On hindsight, the comic is extremely violent as over 75% of it is of Mang getting slaughtered by the S.F. Ninjas! I don’t pick Mang back up until highschool when I begin drawing the adventures of Kidmang.

That Mang is one tough kid! If you read between the lines, you’ll find hidden messages telling you to give Anh your money or important personal information such as your social security number . pg 6 of 10
