I submitted this drawing into the NYU Art Show. It will be on display at the NYU Kimmel Center 8th floor through early June 2010. Medium is pencil on 20″ x 40″ canvas board. Will post a high res version once I get it back from the art show.
Hedgehog in the Fog is a classic Russian animation by Yuri Norstein (1975). A coworker of mine, a Georgian designer, introduced me to Yuri Norstein’s works a couple years back. He is definitely one of my favorite animators and a source of inspiration. I love the feeling of this animation, the characters and artwork. As an animator, I really appreciate how incredibly difficult it is to create something this nuanced, sophisticated and beautiful. A true masterpiece and one of my all time favorite animations!
A Mang modification I did on my NYU SCPS Summer 2010 catalog.
The Hasbeen Design “Post-Mark” art show opens Friday, February 12th. I submitted two postcards to the show:

OBEY Mang. Submitted this bootleg to the Obey Giant website, should be up on their site soon.
Custom Mang skateboard made for the Hasbeen Design Deck the Walls show. It was the first board sold at the show! Below are closeups of the various scenes.

Kidmang has gone missing! He was last seen being chased by a group of ninjas. If you have information on his where-abouts, please contact us. You can help by posting these stickers in your neighborhood.
For free stickers, please send an email to kidmang@yahoo.com

Here’s a beautifully, hand-embroidered mang, courtesy of Juanh’s mom: Ly Nguyen. Check out the detail and craftsmanship, really amazing!
